Premise - Stoners Jesse and Chester wake up unable to remember what they did the night before. 'Hilarity' ensues.

I am a big fan of dumb comedies, when they are done well. Unfortunately DWMC(as it will now be known) is not done well. Road Trip, American Pie, Animal House, Tommy Boy, Wayne's World, Police Academy, Airplane! These are all excellent examples of dumb humour done well. DWMC's problem is that it goes for the throw as many jokes at the audience as possible and see what sticks angle. Alas the audience remains fairly clean. I was quite looking forward to this, the various trailers seemed promising and made me laugh. It seems that the film company thought it would be a good idea to put only the funny parts of the film in the trailers. The rest of the film is devoid of comedy to a depressing degree.

Kutcher and Scott make a likeable enough pair and I reckon if they had a better script then they would have had a reasonable movie on their hands. As it stands Starks' script is woeful, repeating the same tired catchphrases throughout the movie looking for laughs. Does anyone actually use the phrase 'Hoo-Hoos'?

The cast is largely unknown with the exception of Kristy Swanson playing a teenager (isn't she like over 30?) and Brent Spiner (Star Trek:TNG's Data) as a French Ostrich farmer. And if a film with a French ostrich farmer sounds like your cup of tea then check it out.

2/10 for Dude, Where's My Car?
